Zimmerman Scholarship

Farm, Home, & Youth Foundation of Montgomery County
Established in 2001, the scholarship was created in memory of Merrill K. and Louise Zimmerman for their life-long dedication and devotion to 4-H.
The scholarship is intended for 4-H members/ alumni who are High School Seniors, planning to major in or currently enrolled in a college or university undergraduate program in either agricultural sciences or family consumer sciences/human development fields.

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Two scholarships will be awarded in May 2025
Eligibility
The student must:

Have participated in the Montgomery County 4-H Program for a minimum of three years.

Not have won this scholarship previously.

Be planning to major in (or be currently enrolled in) either agricultural sciences or family consumer sciences/human development fields.

Be a high school senior or presently attending a college or university in an undergraduate program.

Have achieved a superior academic record or show promise of outstanding academic success.

Submit a high school transcript (and college transcript if presently enrolled).

Submit two (2) letters of recommendation from a variety of sources – may include teachers, volunteer leaders, community leaders, etc.
